How We Do Men's Discipleship.
Men's Discipleship is nothing new, and we're not reinventing the wheel at Forest Ridge. The Bible commands us to grow together in the image of Christ. That's our goal in Men's Ministry, to be conformed to the image of Christ. Titus 2 says one of the best ways to do that is with older men discipling younger men. Therefore, we have various ways to connect with Christian men around you.
Quarterly Fellowship Events
There are few things better than getting together with the guys, playing corn hole, smoking meat, and enjoying Christlike fellowship. We meet four times per year to enjoy time with the men God has given us in our lives.
Monthly Discipleship Meetings
Discipleship primarily happens within Community Groups. We encourage all of our Community Groups to meet separately with the men and women in the group because of the unique calling to disciple men and women differently in Titus 2. The best way to get involved is by joining a Community Group.
Yearly Retreat
We attempt to get away from the pressures of life once per year for a Men's Retreat. Sometimes this might mean going to a conference; other times it means spending a day in the woods. We praise God for the rest that he alone can give us.
Counseling and Mentoring
Sometimes fellowship events and community groups are not the place to have one-on-one conversations. If you would like to talk with someone about how to respond biblically to the situations in your life, contact us below.
